We proudly provide compassionate, family-like service to our patients. About Dr. Class-Vázquez Walisbeth Class, MD, is a dedicated gastroenterologist with a warm and compassionate bedside manner. She helps her patients discover the causes of their conditions and works to find the best possible treatment solutions. Dr. Class cares for patients at Eisenman & Eisenman, M.D., Advanced Gastro Consultants in Lake Worth, Florida. She earned the distinction of scoring highest in her class on her boards through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Class earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in San Juan. She then attended the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Jalisco, Mexico, and ultimately went on to complete her Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. After graduation, Dr. Class went through an internal medicine residency through the Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She also completed a gastroenterology fellowship with the same institution, where served as chief fellow and scored in the 97th percentile on the gastrointestinal in-training exam. Upon graduating, Dr. Class received the distinguished Scholarly Activity and Excellence in Clinical Practice award. Throughout her career, Dr. Class has gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of liver disease and liver transplant, as well as bowel issues like irritable bowel disorder. She has performed hundreds of minimally invasive procedures using the most advanced technology. Dr. Class maintains professional affiliations with the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, among others. Dr. Class is adamant about continuing her education and building on her already extensive knowledge relating to the gastrointestinal system. Her drive and understanding of GI health is recognized by her patients, who receive the benefits of her determination throughout the diagnostic and treatment process. Dr. Class is fluent in both English and Spanish and loves to meet patients from all over the world. About Dr. Meléndez José Meléndez MD, specializes in gastroenterology and offers cutting-edge treatments for all types of GI issues. He welcomes new and existing patients to Eisenman & Eisenman, M.D., Advanced Gastro Consultants in Lake Worth, Florida. Dr. Meléndez earned his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He then completed his Doctor of Medicine at Ponce Health Sciences University in Ponce, Puerto Rico. After graduation, Dr. Meléndez relocated to the United States for further training. He completed his residency training at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to gaining extensive experience in internal medicine and becoming board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, he received several scholarships, including the prestigious Mayo International Health Program Scholarship Award. To build on his knowledge, Dr. Meléndez completed a gastroenterology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida, where he was exposed to a great variety of gastrointestinal conditions and procedures. Dr. Meléndez maintains multiple professional affiliations to help him stay abreast of the latest gastroenterology research and medical treatments. He has affiliations with the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Florida Gastroenterologic Society, among others.
